With the sheer amount of SUVs and trucks on Canadian roads, it can be hard not to feel invisible driving one. That’s likely a major reason their drivers love spending money to modify the appearance of their vehicles. Some choose lift kits, gaudy racing stripes, obnoxious stickers, and gleaming chrome wheels. But others prefer to express their identity more subtly. For them, I recommend the new Terrain Black Edition and Acadia Black Edition from GMC.
The French word “avenir” translates to “future”. So, it’s fitting that the Buick Avenir concept car, unveiled in 2015 at the North American International Auto Show, would foreshadow the styling of every Buick vehicle that followed. Later that year, Buick showed off the brand-new LaCrosse which borrowed the Avenir’s new grille and aggressive contours. Since then, Buick has given the rest of its lineup the same treatment – except for one. But now, with the release of the 2019 Envision, that’s about to change.
